SCIENCE POPULERISATION PROGRAMMES –

From our early stage of movement science popularization was our top most priority. Organizing anti-superstition programmes, sky watching, Science & technology fairs, awareness campaigns for non-conventional energy, water and energy conservation etc., thrust a momentum to our movement. The followings are some of our past programmes:

Total Solar Eclipse’1995-

we organized many slide seminars, distributed thousands sun filter for safe observation of solar eclipse among school children and common people. We arrange a trip to observe the eclipse from Baghmundi pahar, Purulia.

Other space related programmes –

Regulerly we awere the people about the scientific reasons behind different cosmic events such as leonid meteor shower, comet HEIL-BOPP, Shumeker-levy-9 comet, Transit of Venus, Red Planet Mars nearer to earth.

Sky watching through Telescope -

We have two telescope of 8”dia & 6” dia and these are used to observe planet, nebula, craters of moon etc.

Science and Information technology Fair-

We organize this fair at Kalna College campus either in last week of jun or first week of feb. every year. Most of the schools of our sub division participate in the fair with individual sc model and school project, departments of Kalna College and other organizations also display their exhibits with stalls.

Anti-superstition programme –

We respond immideately against any type of superstiticious activity in our zonal area. Like GANESER DUDH PAN, UNIDENTIFIED REASONS BEHIND WOUNDS ON HANDS AND LEGS etc. We have organized teams to show many anti superstition programme, and cultural programme .

On various issues, from time to time.

Children Science Festival –

At our early stages of organization we have organized zonal level JOY OF LEARNING PROGRAMME. Now w e arrange this programme at school level. Students participate in different corner like PARIKSHAN, SRIJONI, GANITIK, NATURE STUDY, KRISTI AND AMADER DESH.

Health Awareness Programmes –

A survey on prevention of diorrhaeoea after flood, distribution of bleaching solution and ORS among flood effected people. Health survey in association with Kalna College NSS. We conduct the awareness programme for BODY DONATION, and we have an arrangement To fill up the form for BODY DONATION continuously from our zonal office. Since today Four dead bodies have been collected and transported to Burdwan medical College through our organization. Name of the body donors are as follows – Late Biswambhar Goswami, Late Rajen Das, Late Ramen Dawn and Late Durgapada Sarkar.
